About The Show

The Property Investor Show & OPP Live is the “MUST ATTEND” event for agents, developers, fund managers, wealth managers, service providers and investors … indeed, for anyone serious about making money from UK and International property investment.

It is the ideal place for networking, obtaining reliable and up to date property Market information and, of course, investment property to buy. Equally it is designed to cater for all levels of property experience – everyone from the novice to the seasoned investor will find an answer to their questions.

Access to accurate information is critical to successful investing and, with around 200 exhibitors expected and over 100+ seminars, debates & workshops scheduled you can identify the expertise and advice you need to make the right decisions on your specific area of investment interest.

Approximately 50% of the event will be dedicated to property outside the UK. The show provides the opportunity to compare established overseas markets such as Spain, France & the USA with emerging/newer locations like Turkey, Brazil, South Africa and even Swaziland!  International agents and developers will be present as well as specialists who can advise you on the process of buying, selling, and even moving overseas.

As usual the show is FREE to enter, but payment is required to enter parts of the seminar/conference programme.

Show highlights will include ...

Auction Zone

Including … First ever 'LIVE AUCTION' confirmed for the exhibition

In response to the increasing popularity of buying at auction, the show is delighted to confirm that a ‘Live Auction’ will take place within the exhibition on Friday 15th October.
This ‘show first’ will be presented in conjunction with auction specialist ‘MustBeSold.com’. Graham Penny - an auctioneer well known to followers of BBC Television’s ‘Homes under the Hammer’ auction programme - will be holding the gavel.
It will also feature prominently within the show’s pre-show marketing making it the most heavily promoted auction event taking place in the UK during 2010.
Up to 150 lots from all parts of the UK will be presented for auction.

Lodge & Leisure Investment

Many discerning investors have identified ‘Lodge’ and similar leisure-linked investments as an emerging sector that fits within a balanced investment portfolio.

Building on the positive response to the opportunities presented at our 2009 event, and reflecting the increasingly high quality Lodge/Leisure developments now available in both the UK and International markets, the show is delighted to present a range of options in 2010.

Alternative Investment 2010

A growing trend among the property investors visiting the show in recent years has been a demand to acquire different assets to add to their property portfolios. Reflecting investor demand, this year’s visitors will be able to review the investment potential of a range of alternatives , including …

·         Car park spaces

·         Residential care homes

·         Forestry

·         Land

·         ‘Green Investments’ (e.g. timber, biofuel)

Landlord Forum

Since 2002, this show has witnessed the largest single gathering of UK landlords at ANY property event.
The majority of show visitors are already landlords.  The ‘typical visitor’ owns 4 investment properties and 30% own more than 10.  This audience arrive keen to review the latest products and services for the sector and attend seminars  presented by the most respected names in the sector.

AIPP Exhibition Zone

The show will feature the only AIPP (Association of International Property Professionals) Zone presented at any property expo staged in Europe during 2010.

The AIPP are a truly independent body. They do not sell anything, but aim to raise standards of quality and professionalism across international property sales.  Because of this, their zone will be a major focus of activity.

Property for Finance Professionals

Property for Finance Professionals (PFP) takes the form of a concise seminar  programme aimed specifically at finance and real estate companies. These sessions will help each group work effectively with the other at a time when many of the success stories in the sector are those real estate investments such as 'SIPP compliant' or 'guaranteed return' products distributed through financial advisors.
The content will be highly relevant – not only to financial advisors but also to Fund Managers, Packagers, Banks and financial introducers generally.
Companies exhibiting will be real estate companies seeking distribution through finance-based companies as well as companies with bulk investment opportunities for large scale investors.

3 (yes 3!) Expert-led Seminar Programmes

The seminar programme is established as a major feature of the show. We take great care to ensure these are truly informative sessions and speakers / panel leaders are carefully vetted to ensure attenders gain real insight and understanding from each session they attend.
This year, for the first time, we are delighted to include 3 separate programmes.  Alongside the 'investor-focused' programme and the Overseas Property Professional programme (concentrating specifically on 'trade issues' in the international market) will be a ‘Property for Finance Professionals Theatre’.
All three programmes comprise a mix of seminars and panel debates of varying length. Many sessions will be fully booked before the show opens, thus visitors are strongly recommended to book seminar tickets online in advance of their visit - as the popularity of the programmes invariably means we have to turn some people away.
