Increasing numbers of Britons are happy to move abroad and the trend is likely to continue in the future.
This is the opinion of Dave Isley, head of NatWest International Personal Banking, who said that a larger proportion of the UK population now feels able to work or retire overseas.
Two of the main reasons for this are that Britons now have access to cheaper and more abundant travel options and that there are more opportunities to work abroad.
Mr Isley commented: "The UK population feels more able to now move abroad to work or even possibly retire."
He added that he thought the numbers of expatriating Brits would "continue to grow" and that it was a "pattern that I think is increasing".
In the bank's Quality of Life survey, Canada and New Zealand were identified by expatriates as the top country for them to live in, because they found it easy to settle.
