Stephen Johnson is Deputy CEO and Managing Director of Property Finance for Shawbrook Bank, with 15 years' experience in building specialist lending businesses across commercial and consumer lending markets in the UK. Stephen was part of the founding team at the Bank and previously served again as a founding member of the management team at Commercial First, establishing a key profile in the intermediary market. He is ACA qualified and holds a BA (Hons) in Management and Business Administration from Reading University.
Robert has over 30 years’ experience in commercial and residential property. He started Appraisers UK Ltd in 2012 as an independent panel management business and as an entirely separate organisation from the Allied Surveyors Group where he has been CEO for 19 years. Robert is passionate about ensuring clients receive accurate, concise and unbiased property advice to inform purchase, investment and lending decisions. Allied and Appraisers UK are leaders in Residential Investment Property valuations. Robert has held many posts outside surveying including Non-executive Director of the Bristol Hospitals NHS Trust, Chairman of the Charitable Trusts for the United Bristol Hospitals, Chairman of Pentamed, and Property Board member to the charity, Scope
Over a career spanning 30 years Karl Griggs has developed an encyclopaedic knowledge of the mortgage and finance industry, starting with the role of Secured Lending Manager at Harrow Finance. He was then taken on by Home Counties Finance to run all operations across the business before subsequently setting up his own business in 2003 with Select Finance – a whole of market brokerage that grew rapidly to employ 35 staff. Nine years ago the decision was made to focus solely on the commercial mortgage space where he remains as Director of the Commercial Processing Centre Ltd, a firm that has experienced remarkable growth and success given the tumultuous lending environment of the past 6 years with direct authorisation under the FCA.
